The greatest quality a Counsellor can bring to therapy is themselves and therefore attending to my own development and the relationship with myself is essential. I do this with continuous training and development as well as attending ongoing counselling and supervision.
I completed my honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy with the Personal Counselling Institute (PCI) in Dublin in 2011. I also completed a Diploma in Spiritual Development in 2011 with the Brenda Davies International School of Healing & Spiritual Development.
Continuous personal development is an ethical requirement to maintain accreditation and I have completed many courses including: Family Constellations therapy, Working with Trauma in Conflict,
Comtempary Gestalt Therapy, The Shamans Journey, Group therapy, Trauma and the Body.
I am also continuing my training with current courses in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and Shamanic Practitioners and counselling.
I work with adults on a wide range of areas including: grief & loss, relationships, gender & sexuality diversity, suicidal ideation, trauma & PTSD, anxiety, depression, phobias, self-esteem, anger management, fertility, health and work related issues.
I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and abide by the ethics and regulations laid down by them. I have garda vetting clearance through IACP.
